About the site
The site is located between a small house that is no longer used for living and a group of tall pine trees on our property. Our house is within sight of the site, but far enough away for your privacy. The site is not/hardly visible from the street or from the neighbors. We are happy to answer questions, give tips and offer our guest bathroom for showering - unfortunately we do not have a toilet just for guests. But we are open to improvising ;-). In general, dogs are very welcome here. Our 2,200 square meter property is completely fenced and if it works out well, guest dogs can also enjoy this great freedom here. The prerequisite is that they tolerate our three cats and are friendly (our neutered male is!). And since we are surrounded by nice neighbors, we do not want to subject them to excessive barking ;-). If you want to bring more than one dog - please ask in advance! We reserve the right to decide this on an individual basis. Thank you :-). Paderborn is a good 10 km away and always worth a visit. You can get there in just a few minutes via the main road. In the neighboring town of Bad Lippspringe, the site of the 2017 State Garden Show is a beautiful destination, not just for garden lovers. The Westfalentherme - just a few minutes' walk through the forest - offers fun in the water and a stunning sauna area for relaxation. The Lipperland is characterized by lots of nature and picturesque little villages. The Teutoburg Forest is ideal for hiking - the famous Hermannsdenkmal can be reached from Schlangen in 30 minutes. The Senne is a popular area for horse owners for rides. There is a lot to see and learn in the beautiful open-air museum in Detmold. Very worthwhile excursion destinations such as the eagle observatory in Berlebeck and the bird park in Heiligenkirchen are practically around the corner. The site is located on a meadow on private property. It's absolutely quiet and secluded from view. We stayed there for a weekend. It's right next to a forest, about 2 km from Bad Lippspringe. Nicola is a very personable and friendly host. We highly recommend the site and thank Nicola and Vansite for this type of camping.

A very nice little spot in the middle of a wild little garden. Rustic but very beautiful! The owner is very friendly and welcoming and gave us and our dog Mara a warm welcome. A dog also lives here, and they got along well, and the two played together a lot. Right next door is a small forest where you can go for a walk or just take a stroll. There is one minor drawback, but it wasn't enough to deduct a star: the sign states that a toilet is available. Upon arrival, however, we were briefly shocked to find that a toilet isn't actually provided. Since we don't have our own toilet, they still found a good solution for us. Thank you for that!
