About the site
We have set up a small but nice parking space on a large private property. The spot is ideal for exploring the surrounding area on foot or by bike. Nearby attractions include the Regenstein castle ruins, the Michaelstein monastery, the Heers sandstone caves or the Devil's Wall. From the nearby train station, you can explore the sights of the Harz using public transport. This is free of charge, and the associated costs are already included in the tourist tax to be paid to the parking space operator. Each of the 3 parking spaces is generously sized and equipped with its own seating area. A wood-fired sauna can be used for a fee after prior registration. The property is completely fenced in. We lock the access gate at night. This means that the parking space can only be entered by authorized visitors.

The pitch can only be used after prior agreement or booking for at least 2 nights. We offer the parking space to a few people seeking peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We ask that you respect this. Of course, nothing stands in the way of a social gathering. The spot cannot be used as a party location. Electricity is included from May 15th to October 15th. During the remaining period, billing is done with a meter at 0.80 €/kWh.

Gäbe es 6 Sterne, dann hätte ich die hier vergeben! Der Platz liegt nicht gerade in der schönsten Straße der Stadt, deswegen hatte ich beim abbiegen noch gedacht: „wird das was“? Aber ja! Tausend Punkte mit Sternchen. Wir treffen hier auf einen ausgesprochen liebevoll dekorierten und gestalteten Platz. An jeder Ecke ist etwas schönes zu sehen und zu bestaunen. Jeder Platz ist befestigt und verfügt über Strom. Das Bad ist neu und modern und extrem sauber. Sauna und Brötchenservice macht den Luxus perfekt Insbesondere die Lage macht diesen Platz aber auch noch viel zu Schade für einfach nur eine zwischenübernachtung. Zwar muss man einmal anmerken, das die Stadt nicht vollständig saniert ist, man sieht, das an einigen Ecken das Geld fehlt. Aber der Stadtkern ist ein Traum. Hier findet man unfassbar viele historische Häuser, die bis ins Detail auswendig saniert wurden. Man bemüht sich überall,, die Altbauten zu erhalten und nicht, wie leider in anderen Orten, einfach abzureißen. Ideal ist Bankenburg und dieser Stellplatz als Ausgangspunkt für atemberaubende Wanderungen und Mountainbike Touren. Ich wusste gar nicht dass der Harz so großartig sein kann. Also, wer bei Harz nur an den von Borkenkäfern und Waldbränden zerstörten Harz denkt, der soll ruhig mal in diese Region kommen. Da schlägt das Wanderherz hoch.
